G2 Audio Visual, LLC was founded in 2009 by Gary Garrison to build on relationships and give clients the best production crews in the industry, meeting and exceeding their expectations. Attitude is everything. We're not just in the business of providing people; our priority is to use every opportunity we have to bless others.
We expect absolute professionalism from our crew, paired with a fun attitude. Our work can be extremely demanding, but it should be fun too. Let's work hard and play hard.
We want everyone to think of G2AV as family and to own their piece of its success. Without our crew, the company is nothing. As in any family, honest communication is key, and it's essential to our success. In return, you can count on us to pursue as much work as possible to keep our family busy and to be fully transparent at all times.
Below is what we expect from our crew and what our crew can expect from us.
Showing up on time is where every good show starts. Our clients count on us, so we take attendance seriously.
Always arrive ready to work 15 minutes before your shift. That means you are already at your call location 15 minutes early, not pulling in, looking for parking, or walking in.
No-call/no-shows will most likely get you removed from the G2AV roster for future gigs. Being late more than once may also get you removed from the roster or moved to the bottom of the call list.
Every no-call/no-show, late arrival, or last-minute call-out we can't fill puts our client relationships at risk, and that ultimately means less work for everyone.
Let us know 24 hours or more before your call time. Telling us with less than 24 hours' notice may also lead to removal from future opportunities, depending on the circumstances, and proof will be required.
We understand that life happens: people get sick and cars break down. If you have a serious emergency, it is your responsibility to contact us as early as possible, and be prepared to show that the emergency happened. The bottom line is that we need open, honest communication at all times.
As a contractor, you are responsible for keeping track of your own schedule. A double booking is not an excused absence and may lead to removal from all future G2AV opportunities.
Everyone who works for G2AV is an independent contractor and invoices G2AV after each job.
All crew who work for G2AV are independent contractors. Before your first job you'll submit a W-9 and sign a Hold Harmless Waiver. Both come as part of an onboarding message in Lasso (a DocuSign-style message), and they let us set you up in our accounting system.
Email your invoice to AP@G2AV.com when each job is complete (not each event). Please don't combine multiple jobs on one invoice, and don't send a separate invoice for each shift you worked.
If any of these items are missing, we can't pay you until we receive them, and payment will be delayed until we have everything we need to categorize your invoice.
G2AV pays contractors by direct deposit. After we receive a correctly submitted invoice, we enter it into our accounting software. The first time you work with us, you'll then get an invite to sign up for direct deposit through a third-party service.
Do not send another invoice. If you receive the direct deposit invite, your invoice is already in our system, and sending a second bill through the direct deposit vendor will delay your payment.
We recommend using an invoice app on your phone, which is much easier to keep track of than a spreadsheet. We suggest Invoice Maker, but you can invoice however you like as long as all the required information is included. If you'd rather not use an app, you can download and fill out our sample invoice.
Email AP@G2AV.com or call 407-584-7744 and follow the prompts.
We book crew, publish jobs, and send updates through the Lasso scheduling app.
No. Scheduling through Lasso happens in two steps. First, we ask for your availability, which only means we're asking whether you're available, interested, and free to work the job. Second, we select who works the job, and you'll get a confirmation message saying you've been selected. Please don't confuse the two.
As we get jobs, we publish them in Lasso and plan to book people within 24–72 hours. We close opportunities 48–72 hours before the job, and they then show as “Closed – Position Filled.”
When time allows, you'll typically know whether you're booked within 3 days of a job being published. With a high volume of jobs, it may take longer. We keep jobs listed for a while so more people can apply in case we need to replace or add crew at the last minute.
Your booked events appear in the Schedule tab. Every event has a Labor Coordinator who knows the details of the gig. You'll find them in the event under the Schedule tab, and tapping their name lets you call or text them. The onsite contact is always listed under the shift time. Call them if you're going to be late.
Always meet at the meeting point in your schedule description, even if the show is still going on. The client expects you there at your scheduled time.
Sometimes we message the whole crew at once through Lasso. You'll usually get an app notification, an email, and a text. Always read the message in the Lasso app if you can, because it isn't fully readable by text. If you have questions the app doesn't answer, reach out to the Labor Coordinator listed in the message. We try to include as much detail as possible.
